Grand Dédale Wedding: Sumay + Sarel

Layered and inspirational as a Hakaan Yildirim creation, this Grand Dédale wedding re-wrote the definition of: never give up. When you listen Sarel’s story on how he rebuilt his life to a massive success after being dealt an absolute double minus (more than once), and then to discover Sumay that is cut from the same block, is nothing but super amazing. It’s the type of story that people pay to listen to. The type of story that gives you more grunt in your bones than the strongest caffeine kick. I always count my lucky stars, but discovering and working with insanely stunning courageous beautiful people, such as Sumay and Sarel are the purest of blessings.

A bit off topic: While I was in Wellington I stayed at Jacaranda Wines. I usually don’t give a mention of the places where I stay, but in this instance I promised Birgit I would. The reason? A long long time ago, way before I ever knew much about the Western Cape, I was told stories by a very special person (still for me to this day) of just how wonderful a spread in this part of the world can be. What I experienced at Jacaranda reminded me of that very special person as I was having my good share of sweet figs, rare cheeses, thickly crusted home backed breads, plenty of sweet fruit served with a variety of organic proteins, and of course lots quality conversations in between. Jacaranda Wines is a highly recommended stay.
